Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge is an iconic, unique wilderness experience and is the closest you can be to the entrance of the spectacular World Heritage-listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St.Clair National Park; just 2 hours drive from Launceston and 1 & 1/4 hours from Devonport.
Set discreetly within this wilderness setting, there are 86 private timber cabins, offering 4 different types of accommodation, from the contemporary Pencil Pine Cabins, to the luxurious King Billy Suites. Each provides every comfort you could need, some with spa baths.
This superb escape showcases the best Tasmania has to offer with warm hospitality, sensational locally produced food and wine, breathtaking scenery and magnificent wilderness surrounds. A variety of superb dining options are available, from casual to more formal. Be tempted by the delectable tastes of local Tasmanian cheeses over a glass of wine, followed by a romantic dinner in the award winning Highland Restaurant.
Around Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge there are more than 20 walking trails that suit every fitness level. Wander through towering forests with trees older than mankind, discover animal and plant varieties found nowhere else on earth. When it's time to relax and rejuvenate, indulge in a therapeutic massage or sauna at the award winning Waldheim Alpine Spa - the perfect place to soak away tension and restore wellbeing.
Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge is hosting Tasmania's premier culinary event 'Tastings at the Top' from 23 - 25 June 2012. During this time the Highland Restaurant will be closed for dinner. Lunch and dinner will be available in the Tavern Bar & Bistro as normal.

Pencil Pine Cabin: Close proximity to the Lodge with views of the Lodge Lake and surrounding bushland. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed + 1 Day Bed. Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults & Children.
Contemporary Spa Cabin: Located in natural bush setting, private and peaceful. Verandahs offer views through the treetops or directly in the surrounding Myrtle forest. Feature large sofa chairs before log or gas fires. Bathroom has spa bath and separate shower. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed + 1 Single Bed. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults & Children.
Traditional Spa Cabin: Located in the natural bushland, the verandahs offer views through the trees and the surrounding forest. These rooms offer a more rustic and wooden feel when compared to the Contemporary Spa Cabin. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults and Children.
Dining
Highland Restaurant: Recognised as one of Tasmania's premier dining experiences featuring the finest Tasmanian food and wine. Open for breakfast, morning tea and dinner. Bookings are essential for dinner. Special dietary requirements and picnic hamper service available by arrangement.
Tavern Bar & Bistro: A rustic tavern atmosphere with roaring log fire and Bistro style meals. Open for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
Weindorfer Lounge: More like a private club lounge with deep leather armchairs and a crackling fire. Board games and newspapers are available.
Guest Lounge Bar: A private guest only retreat, ideal for pre-dinner drinks or a late night port.
Wine and Cheese Tasting: Taste six lovingly handcrafted wines accompanied by three boutique cheeses which showcase Tasmania's reputation for gourmet produce. Our host will guide you through the history and individuality of Tasmania's wine and cheese industry. From 5pm to 6pm daily.

The Spa offers 6 treatment rooms and houses The Sanctuary - a relaxation area with sauna, steam room, hot tub & cool plunge pool. Access to The Sanctuary is included with any spa treatment and casual access is available at a small cost. Bookings are essential. Swimwear is required for the use of The Sanctuary facilities.
