Risby Cove is Strahan's only waterfront accommodation, set in a sheltered cove on the site of an old sawmill on the Macquarie Harbour. What was once a commercial maritime centre, this haven in the wilderness allows guests to watch spectacular sunsets, explore the nearby rainforest and is only a short stroll to the cruise boats and rail terminal.

This Strahan accommodation features rooms and 1 and 2 bedroom apartments which have been carefully designed to mirror the history of the site. Rustic yet contemporary, the ironclad buildings reflect the pioneering spirit of the area with well appointed interiors. The Spa rooms at Risby Cove are perfect for couples wanting a romantic waterfront escape and the spacious 2 Bedroom Apartments are excellent for families featuring a large lounge room and balconies to watch the stunning sunset views across the water.

Risby Cove provides many outdoor activities with mountain bikes, rowing dinghies and jet boat rides all on site. For guests wanting something a little quieter, the refurbished century old workshop has been converted into a fine gallery featuring an eclectic collection of work by Tasmanian artists. Unique jewellery, pottery and huon pine furniture and sculptures, make this gallery a must see for visitors.
